Diesel Exhaust Fluid consist of high purity urea (typically crystalline) that is dissolved and suspended in de-ionized water. The approximate ratio of the mixture is 32.5% urea and 67.5% de-ionized water. To ensure optimum Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system performance our DEF Solutions is American Petroleum Institute(API) certified and meets ISO 22241 Standards.
When DEF is used with Selective Catalytic Reduction system it helps reduction the amount of NOx emissions. The reduction in emissions is required to meet the EPA published Tier 2 Emission Standards for Light Duty and Heavy Duty Vehicles. This standard regulates new strict emission control that began January 1, 2010.
